Word Password Remover is a very light and practical software tool whose aim is very specific - it allows you to clear the password of any Microsoft Word file whenever you happen to lose or forget it, so that you can open and use it again. You just have to provide the path to your protected Word file, and the program will remove its password for you.
The program's user interface is really simple and easy to use. It basically allows you to pick up the file you want to unprotect (by means of a standard Windows dialog) and to start the clearing process by pressing the "Remove Password" button. However, it is very important to know that this is actually an online service, and therefore you need to be connected to the Internet to make use of it. When you launch the process, the program sends your file to their server, where it is analyzed and decrypted. You will be told if the password can be removed or not, though it will only be actually cleared if you have the registered version of the program.
The program's main window also includes a toolbar that allows you to select your file, to browse the purchase page of the program, to register it, and to access both the help file and the "About" window. The analysis process of a simply-protected file takes about one minute. Even though it is stated in the developer's website that the program is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Windows up to 2010, the program does not support XML-based “.docx” files.
